Veterans Day 2020 Honors
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing, Arkansas Hospice’s “Committed to Veterans” program continues to honor those who have served our nation. In the week leading up to Veterans Day, Arkansas Hospice’s “Journey Van” will be canvasing the state in a series of socially distant ceremonies, along with other events to honor and remember those who have served.
With one of every four dying Americans being a veteran, Veterans Day is increasingly important each year in its meaningfulness as a time to remember our heroes. This includes not only veterans, but their spouses and our first responders. This year, there will be a reduced number of traditional ceremonies and gatherings that honor the memory and raise awareness of the needs of veterans and first responders. However, as the state’s largest, non-profit provider of hospice services, Arkansas Hospice will continue to recognize our veterans with these events while also practicing social distancing.
