LifeTouch Health Searcy team members honored with Willow Award for exceptional end-of-life care

Searcy, Ark. – Five members of the LifeTouch Health Searcy team have been named as recipients of the prestigious Willow Award, which recognizes excellence in end-of-life care.
Presented by Smith Family Funeral Homes and Tipton & Hurst, Willow Awards are presented to caregivers who are nominated by families or colleagues for providing exceptional care, compassion, and support during life’s final journey.
Nominated by the family of JB Threat were LifeTouch Health team members Michelle Lindsey, CNA; April Ash, social worker; Nick Shimmer, chaplain; Keelie Sullivan-Michelsen, RN; and Jacob Medler, RN.
“They did anything they could for JB, and they continued to check on my needs,” the Threat family wrote in their nomination letter. “These individuals breathed joy into our home during the hardest weeks of our lives.”
LifeTouch Health clinical care team members attended and were honored at the Willow Awards event held in North Little Rock
The LifeTouch Health group was among those recognized on May 12 in North Little Rock at the inaugural Willow Award Celebration of Excellence ceremony, which celebrated honorees who have received the Willow Award since its inception, with an earlier presentation of the award at the LifeTouch Health Searcy Area Office.
